Summary:
On the balcony of the Germ Kingdom’s royal castle, Sanji stares at the exploding bracelets his father and sister placed on his hands. It turns out that just moments ago, Sanji tried to forcefully remove the bracelets, setting off a warning alarm; Reiju intervened and told him that the keys in Big Mom’s possession were the only way to remove them. Sanji recalls a childhood memory of Zeff bandaging his injured hands before (literally) hammering home the lesson that a cook’s hands are not meant for fighting. As his anger builds, Sanji shouts in frustration from the balcony.
Meanwhile, Brook and Pedro successfully infiltrate Sweet City using the Shark Submerge III. As they land, they overhear the locals discussing Jinbe’s betrayal of Big Mom. The Totto Land newspaper reported that after asking for her crew to leave, he withdrew his request when he heard the price she demanded for such treachery. Realizing that Jinbe’s position as Big Mom’s subordinate led him to reject Luffy’s offer to join the Straw Hat Pirates, Brook realizes that the newspaper description of Jinbe’s cowardice was not typical of the fishman they knew. Pedro is impressed that Big Mom has a former Shichibukai in her crew and asks Brook if Jinbe is an acquaintance of the Straw Hats. Brook confirms that he does.
Suddenly, Pedro sees Baron Tamago and Sanji’s fiancee Charlotte Pudding shopping for wedding dresses. Pudding tries to tend to the previous engagement, but Tamago insists that finding a dress is her priority. The shop staff suggest that Pudding choose an item that would suit the groom’s taste, but an upset Pudding notes that she has only met Sanji once. Brook and Pedro realize that Pudding was unable to slip out of his manipulators and that the pair Luffy spotted on the shore of Whole Cake Island could not be Sanji and Pudding. As they continue to spy, the two soldiers report the movements of the Sanji Retrieval Team since arriving in Totto Land, including: the arrival of the Thousand Sunny on Cacao Island; the disappearance of the Pekoms; the presence of Luffy, Nami, Chopper, and Carrot in the Seductive Woods; and the presence of Brook and Pedro elsewhere in Totto Land. Tamago recognizes Pedro’s sketch of the soldiers, but orders the soldiers to focus on locating the Pekoms. He muses that in honor of their long partnership in Big Mom’s service, he wants to appeal to Big Mom to forgive Pekoms, but that the situation is complicated. Brook and Pedro start to panic as they realize that the entire Sanji Retrieval Team is in dire straits.
On the northeastern shore of Whole Cake Island, the Fire Tank Pirates are gathered behind Capone Bege, his wife Charlotte Chiffon, and Capone’s son, Capone Gang Pez. A bound Pekoms stands on the edge of a cliff. The two exchange words as, just before he is shot, Pekoms warns Capone that his underestimation of Big Mom will be his downfall. After being shot, Pekoms falls off a cliff into the shark-infested waters below.
Inside the queen’s chamber in Whole Cake Castle, Caesar Clown is shown talking to Big Mom. Big Mama explains her dream for her family to include all the races of the world and for all its members to sit and converse with each other at eye level. She reveals that she had previously tasked Caesar with developing a cure to turn her entire family into giants, and asks about his progress. Caesar says to himself that such a project was impossible, and that he had cheated her of her means to spend on women and alcohol; however, she lies and claims that if not for the intervention of Luffy and Trafalgar Law, her drug would have been complete by now. He laments that he no longer has her drug after the destruction of his research lab on Punk Hazard. However, Big Mom shocks and frightens him when she reveals that she had an exact replica of his lab built out of candy and reinforced iron. Caesar is taken to the lab by Big Mom’s eldest son, Charlotte Perospero, who warns him that if the drug is not ready in two weeks, Caesar will be turned into candy and (presumably) licked to death.
As night falls over Whole Cake Island, Luffy continues to work in the Seducing Woods. He carries “Sanji” and “Pudding” to the center of a clearing in the forest. There, it is shown that several bound versions of Sanji, Pudding, Nami, Chopper, and Carrot are already assembled, each making animal noises. Luffy exclaims that he found them all, but that they are all acting strange. Then he asks them why they multiplied.
