Summary:
During Luffy’s training, Silvers Rayleigh mentions that every enemy attack has an intent and a motive. Luffy senses Rayleigh’s food in the distance and is able to determine its location. Luffy hits the pot, angering Rayleigh and causing him to hit Luffy. He says that he can sense emotions such as anger, and Rayleigh continues to try to get Luffy to learn Kenbunshoku Haki at him. Later, as Luffy lies on the ground starving, several animals on the island hear Luffy’s stomach growling and approach him with some food to give him, but Luffy declines the offer. Some time later, Rayleigh continues to teach Luffy about Kenbunshoku Haki and how it can be used to sense other people’s movements as well as see glimpses of the future. When Luffy also asked about people’s personalities, Rayleigh admits that he never thought about that aspect and told Luffy that he would do anything to help Luffy reach his full potential.
Currently, Luffy can read the flow of Katakuri’s incoming attacks and is able to dodge them. As Luffy attacks Katakuri, Katakuri is able to land a blow on Luffy, who then blocks further blows despite having injured his hands. Both then deal significant blows to the other. Luffy gets hit backwards when Katakuri lowers his right arm at him. As Katakuri fixes his arm, Luffy suddenly attacks him and lays him across his face. They continue to exchange devastating blows.
Now with the cake aboard the Nostra Castello, Capone Bege is confident that the Big Mom pirates following them will not be able to attack them ruthlessly. As they approach Liquor Island, he praises his crew for repairing the burnt blades caused by Oven. Vito notes that while Prometheus is still chasing them, he has slowed down due to his now gigantic size. Both Vito and Bege suggest leaving the cake on the island, but Chiffon notes that it’s not far enough from Cacao Island and they’ll have to go to Funwari Island, which is further away. She reasons that if the cake were to fall on Liquor Island, Big Mom would still have plenty of time to catch up with Nami and the Straw Hats.
Aboard the Thousand Sunny, Nami and Brook see another attack coming from behind and order Jinbe to swerve to the left to avoid Smoothie’s air slash. Jinbe tells Nami that he trusts her navigation skills and she then takes command of the ship. Brook is stunned to see how big Smoothie has become, wondering if she is a giant. On board Smoothie’s ship, Citron and Cinnamon plead with Smoothie not to enlarge, fearing that her size will damage their own ship. Smoothie curses Jinbe for driving away, dodging every one of her ranged attacks. Elsewhere, Sanji and Pudding ride Rabiyan towards Cacao Island. Sanji thanks Pudding for helping him and the others make the cake, causing Pudding to become extremely upset. On Cacao Island, many of Charlotte’s siblings join Oven to capture the Straw Hats when they arrive, including the Charlotte Decuplets and the former Sweet Commander Snack.
Back in the mirror world, Katakuri yells at Luffy if he’s done with him. Luffy gets back on his wobbly legs and activates an invisible Gear 4 form known as ‘Snakeman’.
