Summary:
Scabbards and Izou find Kanjuro, who tells them about Momonosuke’s attempt to escape from him. Kikunojo engages in combat with Kanjuro while Scabbards and Izou battle his forces. Yamato is on the ceiling telling Luffy about his desire to be free and leave on his ship when suddenly Kaidou initiates his speech about the New Onigashima project. Big Mom enters the festival and reveals that she has subdued Zeus, Nami and Carrot.
Kaidou and Big Mom reveal their plan to get One Piece. This plan involves taking control of Wan, which leads to Kaidou beheading Orochi and telling everyone that his son will be the next Shogun. Luffy and Yamato fall from the ceiling and Yamato becomes enraged when he hears this.
At the back entrance to Onigashima, Kanjuro blocks Pochev’s advance, claiming that he was already convinced of their arrival, knowing how persistent they were, despite the lack of evidence for infiltration. Kanjur is accompanied by Beasts Pirates and two headless horsemen created by his abilities. On the opposite side are Inuarashi, Ashura Doji, Nekomamushi, Kikunojo, Izou, Kawamatsu and Raizo. Izou recognizes the decapitated samurai that Kanjuro created to mock the Sheaths.
After Raizo demands Momonosuke’s release, Kanjuro tells them how the boy tried to escape using a dagger, which ended up slightly cutting Kanjuro’s palm. In response, Kanjuro knocked Momonosuke unconscious with several blows, enough for him to later be surprised at the child’s survival. Kanjuro continues his monologue, revealing Momonosuke’s imminent public execution. As Kanjuro talks, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi instead turn their attention to Nekomamushi’s new prosthetic weapon.
Kikunojo dons her mask, now fully dressed in her samurai attire, and interrupts Kanjura’s speech, stating that the wounds her katana inflicts will not go away even in the afterlife, and like the snow that remains in spring, will torment his soul forever. Kanjuro accepts the challenge and prepares for her onslaught. They clash, Kikunoj’s sword against Kanjur’s giant ink brush. Subsequently, the Sheaths prepare to fight the Beasts Pirates. As they decimate their opponents, Nekomamushi notices that Inuarashi’s leg is now a sword, which Inuarashi immediately uses to slash his enemies.
At the castle, Kaidou’s speech will begin. Inside the ceiling, Yamato states that as Kozuki Oden, it logically follows that Luffy, as Ace’s brother, should give him a ride on his ship. Luffy denies his pretense of being Oden, infuriating Yamato, who then replies that maybe Luffy is more Oden than he is. This confused Luffy and Yamato explained that he couldn’t be Oden until he was free because Kaidou imprisoned him in Onigashima by putting explosive handcuffs on him when he was eight years old. Yamato shows doubts about the explosive properties of the device since the one who planted it on him is his own father, but reveals the fear of the possibility that kept him trapped. Luffy immediately offers to remove the shackles and asks if Yamato is ready to fight his father. Yamato agrees, revealing that his desire to do so comes from being beaten by Kaidou several times since childhood.
The conversation is interrupted by Kaidou’s speech. Yamato and Luffy bend one of the ceiling panels to watch the projection. Kaidou initiates by acknowledging Whitebeard’s war two years ago that caused an uproar in the world. He claims that the dissolution of the Seven Warriors means that the World Government is confident that their new power can stop them. As such, he decided to team up with Big Mom to collect ancient weapons.
Charlotte Linlin heard her name and appeared in a courtesan’s dress and with a newly formed army of friends, with Prometheus at her left side and Zeus holding her as a fan. Her quick appearance blows up some pirate beasts and scares others. Nami and Carrot are subdued by Big Mom; Robin and Jinbe notice them.
Kaidou points out Big Mom’s lateness, but she flatly dismisses it because she’s on time. They continue their announcement and now shout in unison that their goal is to get One Piece. Kaidou reveals that they plan to create a world of violence using ancient weapons. Orochi is delighted at the announcement. Luffy on the other hand is irritated because One Piece is what he plans to get.
The second part of Kaidou’s speech is addressed to Orochi’s followers. As Wano is a land with waterfalls as a natural defense and the people of the Flower Capital as a workforce, Kaidou plans to expand the weapons factories and create a paradise for pirates. Orochi is outraged by this, declaring that the Flower Capital is his territory and that he allows Kaidou to make weapons in the first place. Immediately, Kaidou grabs the King’s sword and cuts off Orochi’s head.
An uproar begins as the public sees Orochi fall, and Kaidou issues an ultimatum: in five seconds, Orochi’s followers must choose to rebel or serve him. Kaidou reveals that he doesn’t care about the country’s history and punches the cross that Momonosuke is tied to, alerting Luffy, who screams the boy’s name. As this happens, the ceiling breaks and Luffy and Yamato fall into the living floor.
Back at the back entrance, Kikunojo is crying and blood is dripping from her sword. At Kaidou Castle, he shouts that he will create a pirate empire with Onigashima as the new flower capital and that Wano will cease to exist, renaming it New Onigashima, with his son Yamato as the next shogun. Yamato is enraged by her father’s words and runs alongside Luffy in his place. Luffy is worried about Momonosuke.
