Summary:
As the wedding ceremony begins, Jinbe tries to wake Luffy while the team waits for a signal inside Capon’s body castle. Nami notes that only food will wake him up, and Chopper asks one of Capone’s men to bring meat for Luffy.
Above the wedding venue, Sanji and Pudding stand in their cup atop Zeus. Pudding tells Sanji about his happiness and Sanji replies that he is happy too; however, both the bride and groom keep their true thoughts to themselves, with Pudding impatiently waiting to kill him and Sanji reminding himself to focus on his role in the plan. Head chef Streusen then arrives and conjures up a huge wedding cake with a wedding altar on top. Big Mom and the guests react enthusiastically at the sight of the cake before Pudding and Sanji arrive at the altar. Big Mom watches the Vinsmoke family settle in at their assigned table, eagerly anticipating the imminent start of the carnage.
At their table, the Vinsmoke family watches the exchange of vows. Yonji comments on Pudding’s beauty, but Niji replies that only someone crazy would want to marry Big Mom’s daughter, and Ichiji reminds him that Sanji is their victim to be forced to spend the rest of his life under Big Mom’s control. However, Reiju silently watches as Charlotte’s family members sit down at nearby tables and prepare to plot to murder her family. While Reiju is content to allow Germa’s destruction and her own death, she hopes that Sanji will escape to safety and puts her trust in Luffy to ensure that outcome.
As the exchange of vows begins, a finally awakened Luffy is seen running with the rest of the team towards an unknown destination. From his position, Katakuri watches a brief vision of Pudding falling to her knees, which confuses him. Smoothie asks his brother if something is wrong, and Capone begins to sweat when he realizes that Katakuri has seen a bit into the future. When Sanji lifts the veil from Pudding’s face to perform the oath, Pudding reveals her third eye to him, expecting him to be shocked and disgusted. Sanji is actually shocked, but because he sees the eye as beautiful. This shocks Pudding and brings her to tears, leading her to recall a time in her childhood when others bullied her for having a “creepy” and “ugly” third eye, as well as her own increasingly twisted reactions to these attacks. She tells herself through her tears that she has to kill Sanji, but is stunned by the compliment she’s never received before.
On the venue floor, Big Mom and her kids are increasingly confused as to why Pudding hasn’t shot Sanji yet. Big Mom eventually signals the priest to do it instead, but Katakuri predicts that Sanji will successfully dodge the shot. He then decides to blast Sanji personally, but Sanji successfully dodges that shot as well. This causes Katakuri’s jellyfish to hit the priest, killing him and sending his shot flying, surprising Katakuri both as Sanji glares at him for his action. The sound of a gunshot signals to Luffy that it’s time for Luffy to enter. From their desk, Judge and Ichiji react in shock and confusion to both shots, while Reiju worries for Sanji’s safety.
Suddenly, Katakuri stands up and moves in front of his mother. When she asks him what happened to Pudding, he tells her to forget about Pudding and that there is no way to prevent what happens next; the rest of Charlotte’s family is also unsure of what to make of the assassination plot. Brûlée begins to cry that she had no choice but to do the Straw Hats’ bidding, and Luffy declares his intention to take Sanji back. As the giant cake begins to shake, it suddenly explodes as a dozen “Luffys” emerge from within, several of which take sizable bites of the cake itself. As all of Luffy’s duplicates screamed Big Mom’s name, Big Mom herself let out a shocked cry as the guests watched in horror.
