Summary:
The chapter begins with Luffy beginning to reveal his new technique. Blueno is confused as to what Luffy meant when he said his technique would evolve. Steam starts coming out of Luffy’s body and Blueno asks him if he’s trying to be a steam engine. Luffy surprises Bluen by saying he’s glad to meet him here as he prepares to attack. Blueno wonders what he was doing since he said the attack would only give him a chance to escape. He then challenges Luffy to try to hit him when he starts using Sora. Luffy then fires the Gomu Gomu no Jet Pistol and hits Bluen squarely in the stomach, knocking him back several feet. Before he can do anything, Luffy hits him again, sliding him across the roof, then lunges at him with Gomu Gomu no Jet Stamp. Blueno realizes that the only explanation for Luffy’s sudden bursts of speed and strength is that he somehow learned to use Sora. To avoid Luffy as he considers his next move, Blueno uses his Air Door technique to hide in another dimension. He can’t believe that Luffy figured out how to use Sora and how to use him with such ease. He then says that no one can beat a Rokushiki user in speed. Then he comes up with a plan. If he manages to turn part of Luffy’s body into a door, then he can take him out in an instant with a full power attack. Luffy says out loud that Blueno has disappeared. Blueno then makes a door above and behind Luffy and is about to attack Luffy, but Luffy suddenly gets behind him at the last second, causing Blueno to lose his balance. Luffy tells Bluen that he saw him kick the ground more than ten times before disappearing at high speed. He said he understood and was glad to know there was a way to move that fast. Luffy prepares the Gomu Gomu no Jet Bazooka and Blueno says that he will attack with Tekkai “Go”. Blueno is knocked back but seems unfazed by the blow. Luffy is about to use another attack, but Blueno collapses from exhaustion. Luffy says he’s tired as he realizes his body hasn’t adjusted to Gear 2 yet. He says he doesn’t care now. He realizes that Blueno has wasted a lot of time.
Back on the main island, Oimo and Kashii are on a rampage among the soldiers. Galley-La Company asks Usopp if the giants are really their allies now. Usopp tells them yes and points out that the courthouse is just ahead. In the court square, Yokozuna and the Franky Family hold off all the marines. Meanwhile, Mozu and Kiwi lead teams up the left and right bridge towers, trying to reach the top and lower the drawbridge. As Mozu’s team advances up the tower, Mozu stays back to hold off the soldiers who were chasing them. At court, more of the Franky Family battle with the Baskervilles. At the top of the court, Sanji, Nami, Zoro and Chopper fight their way up to the roof. They meet two of the Just Eleven judges. At the Tower of Justice, Spandam orders Robin and Franky to be taken to the Gate of Justice. Two agents tell him that the convoy leaving the gates is not ready. Spandam tells them to just take them to the other side of the gate and wait. They have to take out the pirates main target and once they get through the gate they will be out of range. He also orders that all CP9 agents be rounded up immediately. He then orders Robin and Franky to get up and quickly leave for the road to hell, later taking his time with the pirates in the turns.
At the front gate of the main island, Kokoro watches the movements of the invading forces with great amusement. He tells Chimney that no one in their right mind would ever think of touching the island. Regardless of whether they survive or not, the world would be shocked by something that had never happened before in the past hundreds of years. When the battle is over, Luffy’s name will be known to the whole world. The chapter ends with Luffy standing on one of the walls of the courthouse yelling at Robin that he’s coming for her. Franky is happy to hear him, while Robin is surprised and Spandam is completely shocked.
