Summary:
After successfully opening the Sea Train to the public, it took Tom’s Workers another four years to build three more railways. Despite this, the other islands used the needs of Water 7 materials. Tom’s future will be decided in three days, so he continued to work while he awaited the verdict. Iceburg questions if things will really change, but Tom confidently says that the results will come in the long run.
At that moment, they are interrupted by some men who were looking for Tom. Before they can introduce themselves, the cannon hits Spandam, the supervisor of Cipher Pol #5. When the other members look at Spandam, Cutty Flam reveals that he was the one who hit him with the cannon from his latest model in Battle Franky’s, successfully defeating the Sea King .
Iceburg starts hitting on Battle Franky as Cutty Flam tries to stop him. Iceburg explains that although they are not designed to harm humans, if left lying around and found by someone with ulterior motives, they can be extremely dangerous. As Tom laughs at the pair, Spandam tells them to listen to him. Tom asks if this is a trial, but is told that CP5 knows nothing about it.
Iceburg and Cutty Flam head back to HQ where Kokoro and Yokozuna are waiting. The pair explain to them that Tom is talking privately with Spandam. Everyone believes he was talking about the process, but Tom is seen to be ignorant of any plans. Spandam exclaims that he is lying and that he knows about him being the boatman who built Gol D. Roger’s ship, the Oro Jackson. Tom laughs that the world government already knows, to Spandam’s surprise, and tells him to investigate why that is.
When they do, Spandam questions the bartender, who is explained that since he kept his promise, Tom will most likely have all charges against him dropped. Spandam remembers when he got the Five Elders to leave the matter of the Pluton plan in his hands. He shouts that there will be no “liberation” and orders more agents to be brought to Water 7.
Back at headquarters, Tom calls both Iceburg and Franky and gives them the plans, which immediately shocks them with surprise. They are informed that the World Government knows about the plans and it is no longer safe for him to have them. Iceburg calmly agrees to take care of them while Cutty Flam excitedly calls out that they should build it. Tom laughs and tells them to do whatever they want, and also shows Nico Robin’s reward, which he says is something that worries him.
On the day of the trial, Cutty Flam goes into town to buy things to celebrate when Tom is proven innocent. Kokoro comically gives Cutty Flam the pants and then goes to wake up a sleeping Tom and Iceburg when the court arrives. It also seems that Tom’s judge already knows that Tom’s charges will be dropped. As Cutty Flam looks at the ship, it is attacked by a group of battleships, which turn out to be his Battle Franks. He continues to watch as he witnesses the suffering his ships cause.
Iceburg alerts Tom and Kokoro to the attacking ships. To this, Kokoro declares that it is not the Cutty Flam that Iceburg jumped on and that he already knew. As the pair rush to Scrap Island, the same thing Cutty Flam does, Spandam is seen gleefully watching the destruction nearby.
