Summary:

Aboard a naval warship
The escaped prisoners celebrate their safe arrival on the warship. However, Jinbe told them all that they were celebrating too soon. All the refugees show their gratitude to the whale sharks for bringing them to the warship, while Emporio Ivankov orders the people to find medicine to cure Inazuma. A prisoner screams that he will never set foot in hell again, while another says he would turn over a new leaf and return to his family.
Impel Down, main entrance
Magellan is amazed that the escaped prisoners could have made it this far. He orders another ship to come pick him up saying he will personally chase/eliminate them saying they were trapped like rats.
Aboard a naval warship
The marines report to the rear admiral that the Jinbe damage to the guns has been fully repaired. At this point the order to fire is given. A cannonball hits the prison warship, where Jinbe states that even if anyone was a vice admiral or higher in Marineford, everyone aboard the battleship was a formidable enemy. The rear admiral shouts that the gates of justice have never been opened to the pirates.
This is when the prisoners, including Luffy, Buggy, and Mr. 3, realize that the Gate of Justice will not open. However, Jinbe simply orders him to continue, causing Buggy to start a ruckus. Luffy orders the men to protect the battleship. Crocodile suggests they use the cannons on the warship. Buggy steals the idea and orders his loyal followers to man the guns. Crocodile and Luffy use their Devil Fruit powers to deflect the cannonballs. The Rear Admiral wonders why they (the prisoners) were still heading for the Gate of Justice when it could only be opened from Impel Down. He gives another order to fire on the warship, but is surprised by something.
The gates of justice are opening. The Marines are stunned, the prisoners are happy, and everyone is stunned by the opening of the Gate. Even though Magellan’s warship has arrived, he stares on and says it’s not possible.
Impel Down, First Floor, Generator Room
The jailer asks if they should open the gates to Magellan. The Chief Warden of Impel Down is seen in the Generator Room giving the order for the Gate to be opened and then closed once the Prisoner Warship has passed through. The jailer obeys orders.
Gates of Justice
All the marines are still firing, still stunned that this was Magellan’s order. Marine says it couldn’t have been Magellan’s work as he stood at the dock preparing to board a naval warship. Back on Impel Down, Magellan’s lower half is seen running down the hall as he bursts into the Generator Room to see the jailers and a mirror image of himself.
Jinbe reveals to Luffy that Mr. 2 left behind to open the Gates of Justice. Mr. 2 told Jinbe not to worry about him (Mr. 2), only to tell Luffy when the communication was cut. However, Jinbe gives Luffy a Baby Den Den Mushi.
Impel Down, control room
Magellan and the other jailers are shocked to see Mr. 2 standing there doing his traditional okama dance. Luffy contacts Mr. 2 and goes on about the pair escaping Impel Down together. Luffy pleads with Mr. 2 to answer, soon, as does everyone else aboard the warship, as they have just revealed Mr. 2’s inevitable fate. They all call out his name as Luffy tells him that he must go, as the Gates of Justice will close soon. Luffy shouts his gratitude to Mr. 2. At this point, Mr. 2 replies that Luffy had better save his brother, that he could do it and the Gates of Justice close, shutting them down.
“Even in the depths of hell…a beautiful flower of friendship blooms…leaves its petals as a memento…swings back and forth on the waves…may you one day bloom again…The Momentary Path.”
All the refugees are seen crying for their friend as Mr. 2 prepares to fight Magellan. It is then revealed that there are 4 hours left until Ace’s execution and that 241 people have escaped from Impel Down, causing Impel Down the ultimate embarrassment.
