Summary:
In the giant kitchen on the eighth floor of Whole Cake Castle, Chef Streusen oversees the final touches to the wedding cake. Streusen describes the ingredients of the cake in great detail, compares them to aspects of life, and gets emotional as his subordinates carry the ingredients to the right places.
In the eastern bay of Whole Cake Island, the Sun Pirates order Pekoms to stop moving as he still needs to rest. Pekoms asks for confirmation that Jinbe reported Bege’s betrayal to Big Mom, and Aladine lies that he did, though Pekoms isn’t entirely convinced that Bege is getting retribution. The other Sun Pirates assure him that it is, but Pekoms continues to protest, saying that he’s heard people sneaking around at night trying to get out and see for themselves. The Sun Pirates say they won’t let him, and Pekoms cries in outrage as he asks what they’re hiding.
Meanwhile, Luffy and Sanji approach the Fire Tank Pirates base, remembering Jinbe’s instructions to get there. Luffy asks what Bege is like and Sanji tells him to imagine a mob boss. Vito then opens the main entrance, bursting with joy at being reunited with Sanji. He tells them that the others are already inside, and Chopper then emerges hatless, greeting his crew members and saying that they should take a bath. Luffy and Sanji are shocked to hear Chopper, who hates baths, say this, but Vito says that Bege wouldn’t meet them unless they were clean. Inside the Women’s Spa at the base, Nami tells Chiffon about what Lola was like in Thriller Bark, and Chiffon is excited to hear about her twin sister, thanking Nami for saving her. Carrot excitedly watches the story as well, and Chiffon wonders if Lola has found someone to marry and remembers Big Mom’s rage when she left. He says that all the giants hate Big Mom for a reason, but one day the prince of Elbaf, Loki, fell in love with Lola at first sight and proposed to her. Big Mom was excited at the prospect, as she could not only end the enmity between her and the giants, but she could also gain control of Elbaf’s military forces, known to be the strongest in the world. After Lola ran away, Big Mom used Chiffon as a substitute, but the giants found out and the wedding was annulled, with the relationship going from bad to worse. Big Mom then gave up on the giants and began researching Gigantification; her rage against Lola grew greater and greater, to the point where Lola is considered a criminal in Totto Land and Chiffon was brutally beaten by Big Mom for resembling her, leaving her with injuries that lasted for years. Chiffon no longer considers Big Mom to be her mother, but says that Lola probably doesn’t know about Big Mom’s ill will because of her carefree nature, while Chiffon felt nothing when Bege told her about her plan to murder Big Mom.
Meanwhile, Luffy and Brook emerge from the bath, with Luffy displeased as he rests before the battle begins. They then open the fridge and take out some milk despite being scolded by the Fire Tank Pirate member for their rudeness. They then drink the milk, which heals Luffy’s missing tooth and Brook’s cracked skull, which shocks the guard. Three hours and 30 minutes before the start of the Tea Party, Brûlée and Diesel, who are cleaned up despite still being imprisoned, react with indignation when they learn that Chiffon has gone along with Bege’s plot. However, Chiffon reminds them of what Big Mom did to her, saying that Bege and Pez are her only family now. Bege then comes to the meeting room where the Straw Hats are waiting for them in fancy clothes. He brings up the topic of forming an alliance and says that the easiest way for his crew is to take out the Straw Hats now. However, Sanji points out that Bege’s plan can’t work if he’s dead, and Jinbe asks Luffy what his instincts say about the alliance. However, Luffy instead approaches Caesar the Clown, who is sitting next to Vito with his hair in a bun. Caesar panics and remembers Bege’s crew approaching him in his lab. Bege, who had Caesar’s heart, offered him freedom in exchange for using her power. Caesar protested the idea of continued slavery, but eventually left with Bege anyway. Later, Caesar is horrified to learn that the Straw Hats will come to the base and never want to see them again. Back in the present, Caesar states that he is actually Bege’s sworn brother “Gangster” Gastino, which briefly fools Luffy, but the Straw Hats quickly make him see again. This leads to an argument between them, with Caesar cursing Luffy and Law for putting him in this situation, but Bege squeezes his heart to silence him as he asks Luffy if he will accept the alliance or not. Luffy decides to punch Bege first for shooting Pekoms and there is an uproar between the crews as Bege calmly sits there daring Luffy to try. Jinbe then intervenes and tells everyone that they all have a common enemy and they all have something to gain by uniting against her. Luffy then gathers with Bege to learn the plan, which Bege claims will be perfected when Caesar tells them to get over it so he can free himself from them.
