Read One Piece Manga Chapter 860

Summary:

In the eastern bay of Whole Cake Island, Pekoms asks Aladdin where the Sun Pirates are going. Aladine informs him that the crew is leaving the country, and Pekoms asks if Big Mom is aware of this while reminding him what happens to those who leave Big Mom’s umbrella. Aladine lets Pekoms know how grateful he is to Jinbe. He recalls Jinbe’s last speech to the Sun Pirates when he learned of Capone Bege’s plan to assassinate Big Mom. While Jinbe isn’t sure the plan will work, he is pleased (if shocked) to learn of Big Mom’s own plan to assassinate Germa. Jinbe remarks that if Luffy finds out about this, he would definitely do something rash to save Sanji. Not wanting this to happen, Jinbe declares his intention to help Luffy out and fully betray Big Mom. When she was told that when he tried to leave her crew honestly, she pulled out her Penalty Roulette, which is marked with numbers that, if chosen, indicate how many crew members would suffer along with Jinbe. Unwilling to subject them to such an absurd punishment, Jinbe orders the Sun Pirates to flee before the Tea Party begins, knowing that security will be light since ships are being sent to escort the guests. Aladine assures Jinbe that he will protect him the same way he would protect them. Jinbe tries to brush it off, which angers Aladdin, who can tell that Jinbe plans to die. Jinbe tells Aladdin of his intention to join the Straw Hat Pirates and that it was only a matter of time before he put his life on the line to defend his new captain. Aladine understands Jinbe’s intentions and tells him to do what he must. He then says that he and the crew are going back to Fish-Man Island and asks Jinbe if he was still worried about Ryuga, and Jinbe says yes. The flashback ends with Jinbe and Aladine reaffirming their friendship. Aladine then tells the crew to set sail, much to the dismay of the abandoned Pekoms.
Inside the Whole Cake Castle, the Vinsmoke family heads to the ceremony site, which the judge explains is on the roof of the castle. Behind him, Yonji asks Reiju where she was the night before. Reiju is shaken and lies that she asked to change rooms to escape the confusion of their drinking and partying. Niji supports her brother and tells him to stay out of other adults’ affairs. Niji then confirms to one of Big Mom’s subordinates that Sanji was preparing for the ceremony, leading Reiju to wonder what Sanji was planning to do.
Outside, the homies are excited as the ceremony is about to start. A pig-drawn carriage rushes up and stops in front of a welcoming crowd, with some remarking how late they are. The guests of the underworld then get out of the carriage and proceed to the castle entrance: the king of the black market, the “god of luck” Du Feld, the “queen of the entertainment district” Stussy, the “chief gravedigger” drug Peclo; president of the World Economic Journal, “Big News” Morgans; Giberson the Concealer, leader in storage; and the shipping magnate, “Deep Current” Umit. Du Feld and Peclo exchange barbs, each asking the other why they were invited, but Stussy silences them. Morgans comments on how big news the marriage is, while Giberson and Umit note how it was already common knowledge in the underworld. Charlotte Perospero then welcomes the guests and prepares an escalator with sweets to take them to the roof, explaining that they are the last guests and that Big Mom hates latecomers. Guests marvel at the craftsmanship of the escalator before boarding. Perospero then gives some lollipops to nearby waiting children and tells them they can eat the escalator in a few minutes.
On the roof, just outside the banquet area, a guest requests entry without a body search. Bege politely tells him they can’t do that. The person, organ dealer Jigra, reminds Bege that he was invited to the last wedding as well, but could not attend because he had to go to his mother’s funeral. He told Big Mom and asked Bege to guess what she sent in return. Before he can finish, the man is shot in the head. Bege wants to know who shot him. The man on the doorframe then tells Bege how the story would end: “She sent me the head of my father who was in the hospital. I’m here for revenge, open the door”, at which point he would open fire, killing two of Bege’s subordinates in the process. The person speaking is revealed to be the sweet Commander Charlotte Katakuri, the second son of the Charlotte family who threw jelly at Jigro. Bege is visibly irritated by Katakuri’s presence, given that Katakuri has trained his Kenbunshoku Haki so well that he can see slightly into the future, posing the biggest threat to Bege’s plans. Katakuri instructs Bege to tell Big Mom that blasting Jigra was his judgment, before predicting that Bege eventually agrees.
The last guests enter the party room, excited by the atmosphere. Charlotte Smoothie welcomes them and offers them a drink; the selection is a piece of lava, a beautiful woman who stabbed a hundred men, and a giraffe that makes a funny sound. Giberson, Stussy, and Peclo get a giraffe jar, pressed into the jar by Smoothie’s Devil Fruit ability. As they marvel at the taste and feel of the drink, Big Mom enters the scene. He welcomes the guests, informs them that everything in the room is edible and to enjoy everything happening today.
